About
Background & Motivation

Over the past decade, advancements in wireless communication have been significant, particularly with the rise of 5G, which supports data-intensive services like enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), massive Machine-Type Communications (mMTC), and Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communications (uRLLC).
As we move into the 6G era, we will focus on creating Smart Networks and Services that integrate communication technologies with computational resources and AI. This aims to establish an intelligent, adaptive “network of networks,” fostering a complex digital ecosystem.
However, challenges remain, including:
Integration of Technologies
Ensuring seamless interoperability.
Trustworthiness
Meeting service level agreements (SLAs) for latency, reliability, and throughput.
Conflict Resolution
Addressing potential conflicts among data-driven components, leading to research in Native AI conflict resolution.
These efforts are crucial for realising the full potential of future 6G networks.
