FLECON-6G at the Cyprus European Researchers’ Night 2026

The FLECON-6G project participated in the Cyprus European Researchers’ Night 2026, bringing its research closer to students, families and the wider public through the involvement of consortium partners UCLan Cyprus and eBOS Technologies.
The 2026 edition marked the 20th anniversary of the Cyprus European Researchers’ Night, organised by the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF). The event welcomed more than 5,000 visitors, including around 2,000 students, and featured 75 interactive booths and more than 300 researchers, creating a vibrant environment for discovering Cyprus’s research and innovation activities.
Visitors had the opportunity to discover FLECON-6G research first-hand through a live demonstration of the Trustworthiness Evaluation Framework, an initiative led by UCLan Cyprus within the project.
The demonstration showcased the project’s work towards ensuring transparency and reliability in next-generation 6G networks, providing visitors with a practical example of how research can contribute to building more trustworthy future communication systems.
The interactive setting of European Researchers’ Night offered an excellent opportunity to present advanced 6G research in an accessible way, engage directly with the public, and discuss how emerging technologies could influence future digital networks and services.
Participation in the event also supported FLECON-6G’s broader objective of bridging the gap between research and society, increasing awareness of European 6G research and encouraging younger generations to engage with science, technology and innovation.
Many thanks to the UCLan Cyprus and eBOS Technologies teams for representing FLECON-6G and helping bring our research closer to society!
